UPDATED The latest government directions are to take effect on April 29. Whilst the government plans 4 different operating methods for Food & Beverage services, there are explicit conditions that both restaurant staff and customers must adhere to.
CATERING / RESTAURANT
Restaurants are now classified into 4 types:
Type A: Establishments that do participate in social distancing measures or staff testing. Dine-in is until 6 PM and there may be no more than 2 persons per table with a maximum of 20 customers. (Very few restaurants)
Type B: Establishments are required to enforce staff testing every 14 days and can operate from 6 AM – 10 PM. A maximum of 4 persons per table and the restaurant can operate at 50% capacity. (Most restaurants today)
Type C: ALL staff must have at least 1 dose of vaccine. Dining hours can be extended to 12 AM and a maximum of 6 persons per table. The restaurant can operate at 50% capacity and ALL customers must use the LeaveHomeSafe App. Maximum 20 person banquet.
Type D: ALL staff must be fully vaccinated and customers must have at least one dose of the vaccine. Dining hours can be extended to 2 AM and a maximum of 8 persons per table. The restaurant can operate at 75% capacity. ALL customers must use the LeaveHomeSafe App. Maximum of 100 person banquets.
It seems that the government will not make any exemptions to customers who cannot take the vaccine. In the press conference, they said exceptions to non-vaccinated customers will only be made at special events like weddings.
